Birthday Party!!

Becca's First-Birthday Party was a hit. The weather was beautiful, and the food was fantastic. Rebecca was a tad overwhelmed by all of the people at first [and then later when we all sang to her], but when Colleen and Ryan arrived, all was right with the world again. Everyone seemed to have l0ts of fun, and Rebecca is currently enjoying all of her toys. She giggles every time she plays with her tea set. And then, later that night, Dan and I went over to Beth and Kevin's house for a spectacular Wii event, which was hysterical. Below are some photos from the party. Doesn't the Birthday Girl look beautiful?

Sigh...opening presents is hard work.

Rebecca definitely does not like the party hat.

Rebecca's 1st Birthday

Wow. It is hard to believe, but yesterday, Rebecca turned one! AHHHHH!!! Scary that she is getting so old and big. We woke up yesterday, and she opened her presents from Dan and me. It was so cute - she is really good at opening gifts. She likes to shred the paper as well. After Dan left for work, we had some visitors. Aunt Beth, Ryan, and Colleen came over to wish Rebecca "Happy Birthday," and brought mini chocolate-chocolate-chip muffins, which of course, Rebecca LOVES.

"What the heck, Ma? Leave me alone."

Then, we ventured off to Great-Grandma's house for lunch, where Rebecca got to eat Pizza Hut pizza and breadsticks. Which of course, she loves. And in the evening, both sets of grandparents came over for dinner, which she loved. It was a fun-filled birthday!

And now, some photos from when she was first born...

Cousin Fun...

Today, Colleen came over for a visit while her brother went to the doctor. The two girls were a riot. I turned on some music, and the dancing was hysterical. Colleen was head banging and Rebecca was doing her full body shake to Ob-la-di, Ob-bla-da. And then, I set up the tunnel, and the two of them were playing peek-a-boo with each other. Rebecca would stand on the end, and then crouch down to see Colleen, who was in the middle of the tunnel. Colleen would start giggling as soon as she saw Becca, who in turn, would start laughing. It was so much fun!

Tonight, Dan and I are going to look at some houses with the realtor. I am so excited! More on that experience later.

Here are some cute pictures of the two girls playing...

Happy Birthday!

Well, today is Rebecca's cousin's birthday - HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY, BRIDGETTE!! We are going to visit them this weekend, so it should be quite fun. We will have lots of upcoming pictures of all of the cousins playing together. I am a little worried about the ride out there - the length and Miss Becca's absolute adoration of any time in the car [said slightly sarcastically], but it will be nice to see relatives. Plus, I think I am going to turn around her car seat, so she has enough leg room!
