Memorial Day Weekend and Beyond...

This past weekend was great - we were able to see Sean, Jenn, Regan, and Bridgette who came to visit from Darien Center. It was so nice! There was a nice family get-together on Sunday. The weather was gorgeous. We were outside all day, and had McPhee chicken for dinner. YUM!!! Both the Darien Center McPhees and the Next-Door-Neighbor McPhees were able to come see the house. Colleen was hysterical - she ran around the upstairs, laughing at the top of her lungs. I couldn't stop giggling.
Dan and I were also able to get quite a bit of painting done. We figure that we have about 2 full days of painting left. This weekend, Dan and I are going to paint all day on Saturday, and in the afternoon on Sunday. Hopefully, we will get a lot done. Tomorrow, Becca and I are going to the Home Depot to get the rest of the supplies, and then up to the house to take off the masking tape.

A HOUSE!!!

Well, we closed on our house on Tuesday - IT'S OFFICIALLY OURS!! Dan and I are very excited to be finished with all the people who were super silly. We are going up tomorrow to start masking windows and such so we can paint this weekend. I am so excited. More later - after a fun-filled weekend!

Holy Moly - TIME FLIES!

Goodness gracious, it has been way too long for an update. The wonderful news is - I finally was able to catch Rebecca dancing on camera. It was a long affair; she dances alllllllll the time. She dances when she walks, she dances when she talks, she dances when there is music playing [and even when there isn't music!]. But, whenever I turned on the camera, she would stop, and run towards me. Today - I was lucky!
We close on the house two weeks from Friday, unless the lawyers call to change it. We are so excited!!!!!!! We have picked paint colors, and I have started to organize our things. I hadn't remembered how many baby clothes Rebecca has - holy moly. She grew so fast that some of the outfits, she only wore a few times - or even not at all! Thank goodness she is still in 2T/3T, and has been for a while. And, hopefully, still will be for a while.
